Molly-Mae Hague opens up about filler regrets after trolls called her an Xbox controller

MOLLY-MAE Hague has opened up about her regrets about getting fillers put in her lips after trolls cruelly called her an Xbox controller.

The former Love Island star admitted she felt "horrendous" about the results of the injections which she had after the ITV2 show in 2019.

Molly-Mae, 23, admitted the pressures of being on national television meant she found herself in a "vicious cycle" of injectables.

However, she was prompted to have them all dissolved after cruel trolls took to social media with nasty comments.

In an extract of her new book, published by The Sunday Times, Molly-Mae admitted her face looked "uneven and natural" after the fillers.

"It looked horrendous," she wrote about her first YouTube video after the fillers."Someone took a screenshot of my video and it went viral.

"'What's Molly done to her face?' was the response. I was mortified.

"The reality was that my once-sharp jawline had jowls hanging underneath, my lips felt lumpy, uneven and unnatural."

Molly-Mae was inundated with cruel comments after vlogging just a day after gong for the injections, showing off her facial swelling.

Despite noting the swelling would go down, she admits the cruel comments immediately saw her decide to have them removed.

"I didn't feel prettier. I didn't feel better. Filler had made me feel worse," she added in her debut book.

She went on to turn her back on cosmetic enhancement last year, having her facial fillers and composite bonded teeth removed.

Last year, Molly-Mae opened up about how she looked "five years younger" after having her fillers dissolved.

The Love Island star began getting many of her procedures reversed in hopes of achieving a more natural look in February 2020.

Experts estimated that the influencer spent over £8,000 on regular procedures and paid thousands more to have them reversed.

Speaking on The Diary of a CEO with Steve Bartlett podcast, Molly said her decision to dissolve her filler came after a screenshot of her "swollen" face post-procedure trended on Twitter for several weeks.

The PLT creative director explained she no longer recognised herself in the photo and wanted to do something about it.

She began: "I wouldn’t say I got addicted to it, but by the age of 21, I didn’t look like the same person.

"I literally looked like a different person. When I look back at pictures now, I’m terrified of myself. I’m like, ‘Who was that girl?’ I don’t know what happened.

"It was horrendous. It was utterly horrendous. My face was literally like, it was just awful. That was the moment for me as well where I was like, I think things need to change.

"I thought, one day I’m going to get my lips dissolved. It was a process. I went and got my lips dissolved and I posted about it on YouTube and I didn’t expect the response that I got. It was huge."
