Paul Gascoigne is hotly tipped to win Italy's version of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.

And he's proved that he’s not going to give up without a fight in the latest challenge on the hit reality TV show.

In pictures from the second live episode of the brand-new series, the former English football legend can be seen wading through deep waters as he takes part in a gruelling water sports challenge alongside his fellow contestants.

Gazza dons a yellow uniform in the water which showcases his extensive collection of arm tattoo’s.

Although he appears to struggle in the telling snaps, the much-loved star is congratulated by his fellow teammates when he eventually completes the challenging water task.

Gazza appears to be incredibly popular among the group of celebrities who must get through the show with their own survival skills on a desert island with nothing to help them.

Earlier this month, the football star stunned fans when he announced he was jetting off to the island of Cayo Cochinos, off the coast of Honduras, to take part in the reality TV show.

Paul made a dramatic first entrance to the brand-new series as he effortlessly jumped from a helicopter into the sea and then swam to a desert island where he spent the night.

In his opening interview, the football legend revealed that he’s hoping to win the show in a bid to honour his beloved nephew, who sadly passed away in 2016.

If he manages to win the show, Paul plans to donate the cash prize of 100,000 euros to fund set up in memory of his late nephew, Jay Lennon Gascoigne.

At just 22-years-old, Jay tragically died of an overdose after his battle with mental health became too much.

Jay’s death came as a devastating blow to Paul as he too suffered from the same demons which haunted his nephew.

Following his untimely death, Jay’s devastated mum, Anna Kerrigan, launched an appeal to raise £100,000 to help others with mental health problems.

Now, Gazza is on a mission to fulfill his sister's wishes in helping those who are still suffering.

Filming takes place on the island of Cayo Cochinos, off the coast of Honduras.

L'Isola dei Famosi has been running for nearly two decades after the first episode aired in 2003
