Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid get everyone talking as they reunite for rare breakfast date after she finally praised him | The Sun

PIERS Morgan reunited with Susanna Reid over breakfast today – two years after he quit Good Morning Britain.

TalkTV presenter Piers – who turns 58 tomorrow – drove his fans wild when he shared a photo with his ex "TV wife" on Instagram.

The broadcaster posted a snap of them sitting side by side just like they did most days for six years on Good Morning Britain.

"Good morning (again) Britain!" Piers captioned his post.

He continued: "Been a while since we last had breakfast together… lovely to see you⁦‪ @susannareid100".

Fans were quick to beg the pair to work together again, with one writing: "Need to see more of this. Bring her on your show!".

Another said: "Look how happy you are!!".

A third remarked: "This is how it should be!!!".

And a surprise comment from Bear Grylls said: "She’s the best".

The former colleagues have remained on good terms after Piers suddenly resigned from GMB in March 2021 over being told to apologise for comments he made about Meghan Markle.

Defending his strong opinions, TalkTV presenter Piers recently said: "I don’t think my opinions are that controversial.

"In fact, when I was at Good Morning Britain and would spew them every day we would often do polls.

"Susanna Reid would go ‘that’s completely disgusting and outrageous’, and I’d say ‘let’s do a poll’.

"And we’d do one and 90 percent would favour me and 10 percent would be in favour of poor old wokey Susanna.

"And she’d say ‘just because I only got 10 percent doesn’t mean I’m wrong!’"

It's clear that, despite his jokes, Piers and Susanna are still very good friends.

Susanna told us last year that she reads Piers' column in The Sun "religiously", saying: "He has very strong opinions about things and I’m glad to see that hasn’t changed."

She continued: "I’m still in touch with him, in fact it was his birthday yesterday and we’re still in touch."
