Samson warns his baby daughter as his fate is confirmed in Emmerdale

Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) is alive in Emmerdale but if we’re making reference to the fact he’s seemingly had a personality transplant in recent months – he certainly isn’t well.

We’ve spoken about Samson’s confusing change in character previously here at Metro.co.uk and struggled to get our heads around him and Noah (Jack Downham) pretty much swapping bodies.

At the end of last week, Samson’s fate was left up in the air after it became apparent he had gone missing in the storm.

We saw him under a bed of leaves, but it was only during tonight’s episode where Samson was actually found.

After Mack (Lawrence Robb) and Noah called an ambulance, Samson was taken to hospital, and we learnt he had hyperthermia and hadn’t eaten or drunk anything for three days.

Fortunately, Samson got out of the ordeal relatively unscathed – just a broken ankle.

Unfortunately, Samson still had his selfish personality intact.

After being told Amelia (Daisy Campbell) had given birth to his daughter, Samson went into the ward to pay her a visit.

Fully aware his family were watching through the window; Samson told his new child that he doesn’t want to be her dad and won’t let her (a new-born child, might we add) ruin his life.

We wondered if this life-threatening ordeal would help Samson see the error of his ways.

We were very, very wrong.
