Sarah Snook looks unrecognisable in new role away from Succession

Run Rabbit Run official Netflix trailer

Sarah Snook, who plays Shiv Roy in HBO’s Succession, has landed her new TV role since featuring in the hit family drama series.

The actress is set to star in Netflix’s new horror Run Rabbit Run, which follows the tense relationship between Snook’s character and her daughter.

The intense thriller follows Snook’s character, also called Sarah, as she slowly notices there is something off about her daughter Mia (played by Lily LaTorre).

As the film plays out, Mia starts wearing an unnerving rabbit mask while she begins creating disturbing drawings as she is convinced that she is Sarah’s sister Alice, who disappeared when she was seven.

The upcoming psychological flick is set in Melbourne and is directed by Australian filmmaker Daina Reid.

When fans first meet Snook’s new character she looks fairly ordinary, however, it appears she becomes much more deranged as the film unravels its whole storyline.

Her sleek strawberry blonde bob fans all recognise from the HBO series, is way shorter in this role and has a slight curl to it.

Snook’s once slick and tailored outfits are now a thing of the past, as in her new role fans will only be seeing her in bland and comfortable clothes.

It comes after Snook finally wrapped up filming for the final season of Succession, meaning she now has some free time on her hands.

The hit HBO series is set to go out with a bang with a 90-minute-long final episode airing on May 28.

Nicholas Britell, the programme’s Emmy award-winning composer, has teased the last episode will be “like a movie”.

Speaking to Variety, Nicholas explained: “It’s 90 minutes, it’s a huge episode — like a movie.”

The series follows their lives as they contemplate what the future will hold for them once their ageing father begins to step down as head of the multi-billion dollar company.

However, the Succession star wasn’t the first choice of actress for the lead role in the upcoming thriller.

Instead, Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss was set to portray the role of Sarah.

Despite being a perfect fit for the role, Moss had to pull out due to scheduling reasons, which meant the role landed in Snook’s lap.

Succession season four continues on HBO Max in the US or Sky Atlantic in the UK and Run Rabbit Run will be available to stream on Netflix on June 28.
