'The Bold and the Beautiful': Would Thomas Fake Steffy's Paternity Results to Steal Hope From Liam?

The Bold and the Beautiful has a new round of the game “Who’s the Daddy” going. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is pregnant. A paternity test was taken to find out if her ex-husband, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), or current lover, Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is the father. The results are in! The DNA test reveals Liam is the father. Steffy says, no way! She is sure it is Finn’s. While fans think that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), Steffy’s brother, maybe behind an old switcheroo of test results. Why would he do that? Oh, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is in the mix, too.

Catching up on relationships

Thomas has a history with Hope. He even proposed to her at one point. She turned him down. We know he still wants her, but she’s currently involved with Liam. Here’s where it gets complicated. Liam has been named the father of Steffy’s baby and not only has Hope been in a relationship with Liam, but she also has been involved in the past with his half-brother, Wyatt (Darin Brooks). Meanwhile, Steffy has been married to Liam twice and to Wyatt once. But first, she had an affair with their father, according to Fandom.

Steffy has moved on from Liam to a relationship with the new doc in town, Finn. He took care of her after her motorcycle accident and helped her overcome her prescription drug addiction, according to Soaps in Depth. He also took care of Thomas when he required emergency brain surgery. So, Finn and Steffy start dating. She ends up pregnant. Shouldn’t Finn be the father? Oh wait — she had that one-night stand with Liam despite being in a relationship with Finn.

Were the DNA test results altered?

After anxiously awaiting test results, Steffy feels Finn must be the father. Wrong. Just last week, the results showed Liam is the father. Were those results correct? There’s room for doubt. Remember, Thomas wants Hope back, and she is in a relationship with Liam. If Liam is the father of Steffy’s baby, then maybe Hope would drop him. Meanwhile, Finn says he is sticking by Steffy despite the baby’s supposed DNA.

Steffy wants a retest. Her physician, Dr. Campbell (Tina Huang), says no, the results are solid. Were they accurate? We don’t know. If Thomas didn’t alter the results, who might have? Oh, wait, Vinny is back. Vincent “Vinny” Walker (Joe LoCicero), is a drug dealer who shows up whenever he thinks Thomas needs his help. Vinny has a new job, and he has a white coat, according to Soaps. Could he work in the hospital? He is pushing Thomas to take advantage of the situation to get Hope back. But Thomas thinks Vinny may be offering a bit too much help.

The baby is due late summer

Steffy learning she is pregnant is relatively new. The DNA test followed quickly afterward. Her child would have been conceived in December. During the time she was involved with Finn and slept with her ex, Liam. But the show may have to work around Steffy at least for a short time. In real life, Wood has given birth to a bouncing baby boy, according to ET. This is her second son with her husband, Elan Ruspoli. How long she may be on maternity leave hasn’t been revealed.

Meanwhile, The Bold and the Beautiful will have a lot of other things to cover during Wood’s possible absence. Remember Hope is none too happy that Liam fooled around with Steffy. Thomas has told Hope she should work on her relationship with Liam. Maybe he just wanted to see what she’d say. Plus, there are many other characters to keep track of. Will Zoe get Carter back? Could Vinny and Finn be brothers? Will Bill score a second chance with Katie? Watch The Bold and the Beautiful weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EST following The Young and the Restless on CBS to find out what happens.
