The Chase host Bradley Walsh was not impressed with his latest team as they made history “in a world first” on the show.

The hit ITV gameshow was back on TV screens on Thursday (August 3) as the telly legend welcomed four new quizzers.

As fans tuned in for the primetime programme, the former Corrie star introduced contestants Rory, Ann, Keziah and Richie before they battled it out to take home the all-important cash prize.

This week the quartet were up against Mark Labbett aka The Beast who made sure to bring his A-game against the wise quizzers.

However, near the end of the show Bradley was left fuming when he was told the team had made show history.

The first three contestants all picked the low offer of £1,000 in their head-to-head, and so did the final player Richie.

He was offered a hefty £73,000 but decided to play it safe, and like his co-stars, go for the low offer of a grand.

“That's the first time that it's ever happened anywhere in the world,” said Mark.

“Every team member going low, you'll be YouTube sensations."

Bradley then chimed in and proclaimed: "I don't think this team is here to win money.

“I think they just want to beat The Beast."

Viewers watching the hit show at home were left equally as floored, with one person proclaiming: "OMFG all four went low."

Another raged: "What’s the point in going on a quiz show to just go for low offers seriously."
