The Chase's Mark 'The Beast' Labbett so slim fans don't recognise him as he opens Christmas gift | The Sun

MARK 'The Beast' Labbett's weight loss has continued – so much so, some fans didn't recognise him.

The 57-year-old star has slimmed down dramatically in recent months and lose a remarkable ten stone.

He posed with one of his Christmas presents – the board game version of Pointless, one of The Chase's great rivals in the quizzing world.

Mark wrote, referring to the game's former co-host: "This was my secret Santa at the Northwich Panto. I suspect Richard Osman."

Several said they were astonished, with one tweeting: "Jesus, almost didn't recognise you, really smashed that weightloss."

Another wrote: "Bloody hell, actually didn’t think that was you and thought it was possibly your son or a relative lol."

Mark first appeared on The Chase in 2009, where producers handed him his now-familiar nickname The Beast.

He explained during an appearance on Loose Women that he had shed ten stone.

The star, who has a young son, said: "I’ve been around 26 stone up until lockdown, and then a few things happened quite nicely and came together and I started losing weight.
