This Morning's Gok Wan shows off dramatic new look as he ditches blond hair

GOK Wan kicked off the new year with a new look – as he returned to his natural hair colour.

The 47-year-old decided to ditch his blond hair and dye it back dark, declaring: “Blonde be gone. 2022 I’m ready for you.”

His followers rushed to tell him how good he looked, and insisted it made him look much younger.

One person wrote: “Suave and strong look – can’t believe how more defined your facial features are ! And takes years off x.”

A second added: “Look much younger and fresher, better without the heavy black frames too I think.”

While a third wrote: “Wow it takes 20 years off you! Dark is better for you x”

Gok – who has just finished doing panto – shaved off his famous quiff in July of last year to raise money for cancer charity after his niece, 12, was diagnosed with leukaemia.

Gok is looking healthier than ever after taking up running during the third lockdown after overeating.

His self-confidence plummeted and he turned to the Couch to 5k app and hasn’t looked back.

The This Morning style guru previously told The Sun: “People think I’m this massive ball of confidence, but actually I’m not at all. Being on my own at home and not being able to see friends and family, I genuinely found it really scary.

“I’m not used to being on my own. It was really tough. It was a bit of a novelty at first, so I overindulged in everything. Social media, being on the telephone, text, food — all of the stuff I never had time to do.”

Discussing using the running app, he added: “I genuinely thought I would do one or two sessions and that would be it. But I just kept at it. And I stuck at it because I  could feel the benefits instantly.”
