TOWIE besties Courtney Green and Chloe Meadows have reportedly been axed from the new series of the ITVBe reality show alongside a rumoured eight cast members.
The two girls are said to be "gutted" after receiving the news and are in shock over the producers' decisions.
Five of the 10 stars being axed from The Only Way Is Essex have reportedly been named with Courtney, 26, and Chloe, 28, being the bigger names in the cut.
A source told MailOnline: "Courtney and Chloe are gutted, they thought they were part of the furniture. But bosses feel the ruthless cull was needed to shake up the show.

"Many of the stars are yet to be told ahead of meetings scheduled with producers today and are preparing themselves for the worst. It will be devastating for so many of them."
The ladies first joined the ITVBe show in 2015 but have reportedly been sent their marching orders so the show can focus on a smaller group of the show's stars.
The drastic initiative comes after TOWIE bosses have desperately tried to save the programme from another drop in ratings.
Harry Lee, Kelsey Stratford and Clelia Theodorou are also said to be getting the boot from the series.
Amber Turner, James Lock, Amy Childs and Pete Wicks will all be remaining on the show along with the Sims family – Chloe, Frankie and Demi.
It has also been reported that Chloe Brockett has also saved her place on the show.
Daily Star have contacted a TOWIE representative for a comment.
TOWIE bosses confirmed the cull on Wednesday night as they announced plans to streamline the lineup.
Bosses wrote on social media: "After more than 10 fabulous years following the lives of our ever-growing cast, TOWIE will be evolving with some changes.
"As it looks ahead to future series, focusing on a smaller group allows our cast more time to film their real lives.
"[And] showing more of their personal passions and professions, alongside their strong bonds and dynamics with family and friends."
Bosses insisted the loss of the cast members will be deeply felt behind the scenes and that they will always be "part of the TOWIE family."
