Rap sensation Honey G made her television debut in 2016 when she appeared on ITV's The X Factor.

Showcasing her talent while entertaining the nation, the star, whose real name is Anna Gilford certainly captivated viewers with her charming and often hilarious personality.

Honey G's progress in the competition wasn't a smooth one as she was previously eliminated by mentor Sharon Osbourne and often received criticism for being a "novelty act".

Despite this, Sharon decided to bring her back as a replacement for Ivy Grace Paredes, who was unable to travel to Los Angeles due to visa issues. Honey G then made it through to the live shows.

But since her time on the show, Honey G who turns 41 today has now transformed her life and looks completely different from her previous X Factor days.

Daily Star has taken a look inside Honey G's transformation.

Estate agent career

After her time on the X Factor and finishing a respectable fifth place, Honey G was signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music.

She then went on to release her debut single The Honey G Show in December 2016, however, the song performed poorly in the UK single charts and reached number 149.

Honey G was dropped by Syco Music shortly after.

Despite this, the musician still went on to release music on her own independent label the following year.

But in 2019, Honey G appeared to abandon music and work as an estate agent, however, she was given the boot after a few months in the job.

Talking to The Sun, the star said: "They didn't realise how famous I am.

"My boss had told me that he was expecting me to give up my music career which I am obviously not prepared to do.

"Music is my love and passion, and my ambitions are about being a worldwide music artist."

However, Honey G also admitted she didn't plan to be an estate agent long-term.

2 Stone weight loss

In December 2021, Honey revealed she lost 2 stones during the coronavirus pandemic.

Showing off her incredible physique in a series of photos, the star gleamed as she confessed that she is now a size 12.

In 2020, she also shared a glimpse of her new physique while wearing a skintight leotard after she completed a triathlon, which consisted of a 750m swim, 20km cycle and a 5km run.

Speaking to the Daily Star about her incredible weight loss journey, the rapper admitted that she now has a newfound confidence.

She expressed: "The weight loss has definitely given me the confidence to put myself out there.

"I've always had a bit of a complex about my weight and now I can shop in the likes of Topshop and Miss Selfridge.

"I used to be Size 16 to 18 but I recently bought a pair of size 12 trousers which feels so good."

Honey has continued to keep her fans updated on her weight loss journey on social media.

Glamorous looks

Honey G was famously known for wearing a baseball hat, large dark sunglasses and bold jewelry when she appeared on The X Factor.

However, since shedding the pounds, the star has opted for figure-hugging dresses and has removed her glasses which often hid her face.

Talking to Closer Magazine, Honey G confessed she can now wear outfits she always dreamt of wearing.

"I used to wear loose and baggy clothes that went up to a size 18, but I've thrown most of them away as my taste has matured.

"Now I wear outfits I wouldn't have dreamt of wearing, and I can fit into nice underwear from Victoria's Secret.

She added: "It's given me a massive confidence boost. I feel like I've finally got the sex factor!"
