Police lab tech allegedly hid boyfriend accused of ex-wife’s murder

A Missouri police forensic technician hid her boyfriend at her apartment for days as cops sought him for allegedly killing his ex-wife, authorities said.

Tameah Foley, a 25-year-old St. Louis County police crime lab employee, was charged Wednesday with two felony counts of hindering the prosecution of a felony, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Foley allegedly allowed her boyfriend, Christopher Turner, to stay at her apartment in Oakville for nearly three days after the Saturday slaying of his 27-year-old ex-wife, Charlisa Turner.

Turner, 26, was arrested Monday on a first-degree murder charge after police say he was caught on surveillance video shooting his ex at least six times at her parents’ home as she picked up the couple’s three children. He’s currently being held on $1 million cash bail, the newspaper reported.

Turner told Foley he gunned down his ex before she let him stay at her apartment and bought him food and clothing while lying to police, according to a probable cause statement obtained by KSDK.

Charlisa and Christopher Turner’s children, all of whom are under the age of 6, were staying with their mother at the time, the station reported.

Foley later admitted that she “freely assisted” in helping Turner stay on the lam, the Post-Dispatch reported.

Foley was hired by St. Louis County police in March 2020. She’s been suspended without pay from her role, which paid $18 an hour, department officials told The Post.

“A forensic technician is an entry level lab position,” police said in a statement. “This position requires no interpretation of data or reporting of results.”
