Rush hour travel chaos as Tube station evacuated & cops hurry to scene

COPS, paramedics and firefighters dashed to a London Tube station this evening after tragedy unfolded as commuters headed home.

Witnesses at Bond Street say a person has died after being hit by a train.

The casualty fell in front of a Central Line service.

The station was evacuated while an investigation is carried out.

All eastbound Central Line trains were suspended between White City and Leytonstone.

There were also severe delays along the rest of the line, and Tube tickets are being accepted on buses.
