- The Utah-based kid invited the 32-year-old British singer to his sixth birthday
- He couldn’t make it, but sent the youngster an epic package filled with treats
The mother of a young Ed Sheeran mega fan who received an epic birthday surprise from the singer after he invited him to his party has shared some heartwarming clips of the youngster enjoying his amazing gifts.
Last week, Alexandra Lamoreaux, from Utah, went viral after she revealed that the 32-year-old British chart-topper had mailed her son, Ren, a slew of presents – including his very own guitar, microphone, and personalized notepad – after the child asked for his sixth birthday to be themed about the star.
She explained that little Ren had become convinced that the Bad Habits crooner was going to show up to the celebration – and while he unfortunately couldn’t make it because he’s busy on his world tour, Ed sent the birthday boy a package filled with tons of goodies.
Now, Alexandra has revealed just how much the gift meant to her son as she shared a slew of clips that showed the boy using each one via TikTok.

One clip featured Ren practicing with his new guitar, while another showcased him walking around his house wearing the case on his back – which was nearly double his size
‘Things I’ve seen since my son opened a birthday present from Ed Sheeran,’ she began in the video, which had been viewed more than 83,000 times.

The youngster was also seen ‘making sure everything was still in place’ with his signed copy of the hitmaker’s CD Subtract and ‘admiring Ed on his cake.’
A different video showed him bragging to his friends at the party about the gifts, and a sixth included him playing with the stuffed animal that had come in Ed’s package.
Back in June, the mom-of-three opened up about her son’s desire to have the musical sensation at his birthday party.
‘Recently, my five, almost six-year-old has become obsessed with Ed Sheeran,’ she began in the video.
‘He loves him, he loves his music, he requests his songs on repeat. He requested his birthday party be Ed Sheeran-themed.
‘So he asked me to invite Ed to his birthday party and I said, “Of course I will.” Here’s the problem, he now 100 per cent believes Ed Sheeran is coming to his birthday party.’

Alexandra then showed a clip of Ren telling the camera that he was sure Ed was going to show up and bring him a microphone.
Back in June, the mom-of-three opened up about her son’s desire to have the musical sensation at his birthday party, and it got Ed’s attention
‘We invited him so of course he’s gonna come,’ the boy said.
‘What do I do? He’s so precious, in his mind it’s just that simple,’ Alexandra added. ‘If anyone knows where I can order an Ed Sheeran costume… Or Ed, if you’re watching this and you wanna show up or send him a microphone, it would be the best birthday ever.’
The Utah-based mother explained that she designed the invitations to look like tickets to Ed’s concert, got cookies that resembled his album covers, and ordered a cake that had his face on it in preparation for the party.
She also bought music-themed decorations and created gift bags that looked like the singer.
Nearly nine million people watched the initial video and started tagging Ed in the hopes that he would see it.
And clearly, their tactics worked – because in a follow-up video shared earlier this month, Alexandra revealed that the musician had mailed him an enormous package filled to the brim with treats.

Thankfully, his mom documented Ren’s sweet reaction to discovering that his idol had sent him the gifts, which she also uploaded to TikTok
In the beginning of the clip, Ren could be seen running outside to discover an enormous box wrapped in blue paper sitting on his porch, and it had a sign on it that read, ‘To Ren. From Ed’

‘His face when he realized it’s from Ed,’ Alexandra wrote on top of another clip that showed the youngster grinning towards the camera.

Inside was a guitar, a signed copy of Ed’s latest album, Subtract, a T-shirt, and a blue bird stuffed animal.
But it didn’t end there. Upon unzipping the guitar case, they discovered even more gifts – including a microphone and a notebook with a special note from Ed himself.

‘Dear Ren, sorry I couldn’t make it to your birthday, hope it was great. Here’s a notepad, mic, and guitar so you can start writing songs like me,’ it read.
Little Ren was left ‘speechless’ over the message, staring in amazement with his mouth open wide.
