Michael Hanley, 39, was pronounced dead on the A506 Liverpool Road, Bickerstaffe, in Lancashire, at 9.30pm on Friday night.

His heartbroken family revealed his baby girl is due to be born in August.

In an emotional statement Michael's family said he "had the biggest heart" and "would lighten up the room with his smile, huge personality and the warmest of hugs".

They added: "Michael was a much-loved fiancé, son, brother, uncle, friend and daddy-to-be to his baby girl who is due in August.
