LISA Armstrong spent much of last year helping her husband Ant McPartlin during his battle against alcohol and prescription drug addiction.
But just who is the woman who has remained by the side of one of Britain's most famous and beloved TV stars?
Lisa Armstrong, 41, was born October 26, 1976 in Oxford.
She started her career as a dancer but in 1994 joined the band Deuce.
Their debut single Call It Love was released in January 1994 and entered the UK charts at number 21, working its way up to peak at number 11.
The band went on to release two more singles and an album before splitting up in 1997.
The couple met at a pop concert at Newcastle City Hall in 1994, when she was performing with Deuce and he was performing with his best pal Declan Donnelly in their band PJ & Duncan.
After a lengthy romance Ant proposed to her whilst on holiday in Dubai on April 26, 2005.
They married on July 22, 2006 in Taplow, Buckinghamshire.
The couple's marriage has been under pressure following his addiction issues, and while Lisa has remained silent on any marital woes, she retweeted a fan montage video showing some of the couple's best moments.
After ditching the pop career, Lisa now makes a living as a make-up expert.
She has worked on shows like This Morning, Pick Me and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
She has also worked on X Factor and Britain's Got Talent.
Lisa is now head of make-up and hair for Strictly Come Dancing.
Ant spent two months in rehab after enduring a two-year addiction to strong painkillers, which almost killed him.
In a world exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, the presenter revealed how he was rushed to hospital at 5am after an "insane" pills binge.
The emotional star said: "I was at the point where anything – prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs – I would take.
"And take them with alcohol, which is ridiculous. The doctors told me, 'You could have killed yourself.' "
He has now praised the "brilliant" NHS doctor who saved him from the painkiller addiction in an exclusive interview with The Sun's Bizarre Column.
The star's descent into dangerous prescription drugs came after he damaged his knee in 2014, then had a botched operation on it the following year.
After Ant's battle with addiction was revealed, Lisa took to Twitter to thank fans for their support: "Completely overwhelmed by all your love and support, it means so much.
"I’m relieved he’s receiving the help he needs. We just need him better."
Since leaving rehab, Ant has moved into a house a few streets away from his wife Lisa.
A friend said: “Ant is spending time apart from Lisa — he’s said he needs space and everyone respects that. They are effectively leading separate lives while he re-evaluates everything.”
Ant is currently away in Australia filming I'm A Celebrity while Lisa works in London.
However, it seems that Ant and Lisa are planning to keep some distance between them over Christmas.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, an insider recently revealed how Ant will be staying in a rented pad near to his and Lisa's London home over Christmas.
A source said: “He and Lisa have not yet decided if they will spend Christmas together. Ant is focused on recovery and thinks it best he doesn’t move home for a while.
"This has been a difficult time and, while both want to make things work, they are struggling to find a way to move forward together.”
