Tokio Myers is releasing his debut album Our Generation[PH]
Shortly after Britain’s Got Talent came to an end earlier this year, Ant McPartlin revealed his battle with addiction to prescription painkillers following a botched operation on his leg.
The ITV presenter was praised over his decision to speak out about his ordeal, with some of the Britain’s Got Talent contestants saying they had “no idea” what Ant was going through during filming for the talent show.
Tokio Myers, who won the competition this year, has said he didn’t notice anything different with Ant as they filmed the programme, but said Declan Donnelly’s presenting partner has his “full support”.

Speaking ahead of the release of his debut album, Our Generation, the pianist told OK! Online: “They’re icons! They are absolute icons, probably two of the most funniest people on television – incredible. Big up Ant and Dec.
“No, I didn’t notice anything [different about Ant]. Obviously that did come out afterwards, but no, I didn’t notice a thing.”
Tokio then added that Ant had so much support from the nation due to his and Dec’s ‘legendary’ status.

“Anyone who’s going through that sort of thing deals with it in different ways. At the end of the day [speaking out] it’s a positive thing.
“When someone chooses to take that step and do that [get help], whoever you are, one can only support – and I know everyone supported him, the support was full. No one took the p**s.”
Tokio added: “So he’s got my 100 percent backing. The whole nation was behind him and so we should, because he is a legend.”
