Christine McGuinness takes a swipe at Nicole Appleton in message about karma after Liam Gallagher's boozy romp on a plane with Lily Allen is revealed

The reality star was left heartbroken earlier this year when husband Paddy McGuinness was pictured enjoying a night out with All Saints singer Nicole.

But today she appeared in a rather gloating mood as she took to Instagram and posted: “It’s called Karma and it’s pronounced…ha, ha, ha.”

It comes after Nicole took to Twitter to warn Lily that their “paths will cross” after The Sun revealed the singer is set to expose the details of her mile-high romp with Liam back in 2009.

Lily enjoyed a mid-air romp with Liam while on board a boozy 11-hour Virgin Atlantic flight to Japan just 17 months after the former Oasis frontman married Nicole.

Nicole and Liam were married between 2008 and 2014, but split after he fathered a secret child with US journalist Liza Ghorbani.

Earlier this year Nicole was pictured cuddling up with Christine’s husband Paddy during a night out in Soho – while the mother of his kids was more than 200 miles away at their family home.

Nicole, who has a son with ex-husband Liam Gallagher, clung to Paddy as they laughed together.

She snuggled into him as she wrapped both her arms around his left arm.

Since then Christine has revealed she is "working things through" with Paddy.

The 30-year-old model – who has been married to the Take Me Out star since 2011 – admits she and her husband have had an incredibly tough year but she believes they can make it through together.

She said: "As a family we've had an awful lot to deal with, but you can only do your best in a relationship and like anything else it takes working at and we're working things through. We've always been extremely private; we've been together 11 years and there have been ups and downs.

"I was 19 when we met. These headlines were easy for me to go, 'It's not even worth focusing on!' We've been through a lot as a couple in private, but I still love Paddy.

"The recent headlines made us open our eyes. It made us realise we have to make some changes. We were like, 'We can do better than this, we can make each other a lot happier.'"
