Dancing On Ice: Donna Air will be performing [ITV]
The Dancing On Ice contestant is dating the Duchess of Cambridge’s brother James Middleton, but that hasn’t quashed her ultimate fear – being poor.
Donna, 38, also has a daughter with aristocratic multi-millionaire Damian Aspinall, but insisted her phobia of scraping the penny jar comes from her motherly need to look after her child.
The model – who grew up in Newcastle before finding fame on Geordie kids’ soap Byker Grove with pals Ant and Dec – confessed to the Mirror: “The sense of being super poor terrifies me. I think it’s an instinctive thing as a mother to want to feed and clothe my child.

“That is why I keep working hard.”
Her confession comes after she was mocked on the ITV skating competition tonight by fans at home who were left scratching their heads over her fluctuating accent.
For those who recalled Donna from her Byker Grove days, they were pretty confused when they noticed she sounded very different now.
While Donna’s accent has been brought up serval times of recent, some fans had not seen her since her acting days.

Other viewers who knew she was from Newcastle simply questioned why she didn’t have the Geordie twang.
One fan tweeted after hearing her speak to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “Well someone’s missing an accent?”
Another agreed: “I like Donna, but where has her Newcastle accent gone?”

A third commented: “Listening to Donna Air speak…. Where’s the thick Gordie accent gone?”
This was echoed by another fan who said: “Has Donna Air forgotten she’s from Newcastle?”
But this isn’t the first time viewers have questioned Donna over her accent, as she appeared on This Morning hitting back at comments she was trying to be posh.
