Kourtney Kardashian tops magazine list of fittest female stars, with six weekly workouts and 100 squats a day regime

KOURTNEY Kardashian has topped Heat magazine's annual list of the fittest female stars – beating British celebs Davina McCall, Holly Willoughby and Gemma Atkinson to the crown.

The mum-of-three steals the crown from last year’s winner, younger sister Khloe.

The list features women who work hard to promote a positive attitude to body confidence.

Labelled a "health freak" by the rest of the Kardashian family, Kourtney has been trailblazing an organic, sugar-free, gluten-free lifestyle for years.

Last November, she even revealed she works out six days a week and performs 100 squats a day.

Speaking to This Morning, she said: "If bikini time is coming up or something I want to be shape for I’ll do dips on my bathtub and no matter what I’ll do 100 squats before I get in the shower. That way I won’t forget."

She added: "I love to switch it up, having a workout partner motivates me.

"I usually work out with Khloe and we have two trainers who we alternate between."

Davina McCall, 50, comes in second place after winning the top prize in 2015 and 2016.

The presenter steers clear of sugar but admits to having a weakness for tea.

She told Heat: "I’m like, eight cups a day and I double bag sometimes. That’s when you know it’s serious.

"I must stop giving things up. I need to take up something that’s bad for me.

"Maybe I’ll start riding a motorbike. I need to take up something naughty."

Beyonce comes in third place, Jennifer Lawrence makes it in fourth leaving  Strictly star Gemma Atkinson in seventh place, while Louise Redknapp makes fifth.

Louise described how being on Strictly changed her body, telling the mag: “I feel like I’m coming back to who I really am.

"Daisy (Lowe) loves other women and she’s all about body confidence.

"She kept on at me to wear something sexy and by week three I was in a leotard and tights and not feeling self-conscious at all. I could feel myself changing week by week.”

Gemma advised: “Never compare yourself to anyone else. We’re all different, our bodies respond differently and we have different interests when it comes to exercise.

"Find what you love and what works for you and compare each session, or progress picture to where YOU started. No one else.”

Gemma’s fellow Strictly Class of 2017 alumni Alexandra Burke also makes an appearance on the list in fifteenth position while Meghan Markle takes eighth position thanks to her dedication to yoga.

The experts at Heat magazine pored over the stars’ training regimes, healthy eating approaches and their attitudes to their bodies to compile the list.
