Nicole Appleton lashed out on Twitter yesterday following reports that Lily Allen is poised to lift the lid on an alleged 2009 hook-up with Liam Gallagher.
And it’s now been claimed that aside from being hacked off because she was married to Liam at the time, Nicole’s also raging because Lily previously reached out and categorically denied anything went on.
Over the weekend the Mirror reported that Lily’s autobiography will disclose the intimate details of the supposed mid-air romp between her and Liam during an 11-hour Virgin Atlantic flight to Japan.
And Nicole – who recently hit the headlines after enjoying a cosy night out with Paddy McGuinness – is demanding answers.
"One day our paths will cross @lilyallen!" she tweeted her.
Lily is yet to respond directly to Liam’s ex-wife on Twitter, although she has rebuked one follower who made a crass comment about the alleged mile-high incident.
"An unsustantiated tabloid speculation does not an advertisement make," she told him.
Mirror Online has contacted Lily for comment.
Nicole split from the Oasis rocker in 2013 after his secret affair with New York-based journalist Liza Ghorbani and their love child came to light.
They went through a £800,000 divorce the following year, but Liam has still never met his American daughter, despite being pushed through a child maintenance battle.
Speaking for the first time about his marriage breakdown in 2016, Liam actually said sorry for the hurt he caused.#
"’The stuff that happened was my own doing. S**t happens, and I apologise," he told the Telegraph.
"I’ve hurt a lot of people, but that’s life. I’m in a good place with my two kids, the divorce is all done, and we move on."
Rumours of his and Lily’s mid-air romp first hit the headlines in 2009, a year after Liam and Nicole got married.
It’s said they were warned by crew members to stop what they were doing after they left their fellow first class passengers shocked with their lewd behaviour.
But now, 32-year-old Lily is apparently planning to disclose the intimate details of her romp with the frontman in her new book, My Thoughts Exactly, which is due out later this year.
A source told The Sun: "Lily’s agent has been touting the first draft of the book and boasting that nothing has been held back.
"Everyone who read it was stunned as it’s amazing stuff and could be dynamite."
Lily and Liam reportedly drank champagne together in Heathrow’s Upper Class lounge before boarding the flight to Japan, with them both heading to the Fuji Rocks festival.
Their respective entourages apparently attempted to keep them apart on the flight, but failed, with the pair continuing to drink and joke together once they were on board.
Lily’s book will also reportedly include a story about a run-in with Liam and Nicole at The Ivy restaurant shortly after their flight.
The source added that Lily approached Liam, who was dining with Nicole, her sister Natalie and her husband Liam Howlett, of Prodigy.
They said: "But Nicole was not happy about it, as she had heard the gossip and it caused a few ructions between her and Liam."
Lily’s book, due to be published by Blink, will be "shocking and brutal".
Lily has said of it: "Some of it might be uncomfortable. It won’t be written with shame. It will be true."
