Love Island’s Harley Judge has opened up on secrets about phones in the house [ITV]
Love Island has had us totally hooked since it kicked off on ITV2 in early June.
In fact, fans have been in dismay all summer as they concluded they’ll have to cancel all their social plans and rearrange their holidays because they simply have to watch the final.
And the most eagle eyed of viewers have been thinking about the reality TV show day and night, pondering over every little detail about the saucy Spanish villa and the sexy singletons.
What they’ve been left with is one major query: What do the contestants get up to on their phones in the house?

One person asked: “Where do they pull these phones out of on Love Island swear they just appear out of thin air.”
Another: “What’s the point of phones if you cant have Internet lol.”
Before heading into the villa, each contestant is given their own HTC U Play mobile with, of course, a personalised case to go with it.
While the mobile is especially great for taking selfies, what else can they use it for?

Well, before contestants head into the villa, producers install a special software on the HTC so Islanders can only use an Love Island messenger and the camera.
This year’s first evictee, Harley Judge, also opened up about what they get up to on their handsets.
The 22 year old spoke to OK! Online about his experience in the villa.
Harley revealed: “You’ve got the camera, so there will be photos taken on the phones.”

“We have an island chat where we can talk amongst the islanders and then Love Island can contact you so any big event in the villa you receive by text.
“You keep the phone on you at all times except for charging it, some people are better at it than others because when you’re in there you’re not thinking about your phones. And you can put it down somewhere and forget where it is and spend all day looking for it!”
But what did Harley get up to with his?
He said: “I wasn’t using mine too much I think there are some pictures on it. I think I sent Amber a wink face.”

Harley continued: “I didn’t message anyone on the island chat, I think a few of the lads were just having a bit of banter over text. Nothing more than that. No one went on each others phones, it wasn’t something major in there.”
While there is wifi in the house, producers insist contestants don’t have access to it. So definitely no Snapchats or Instagrams coming out soon.
But we’re sure they’ll be making up for lost time with an epic stream of uploads once they leave the house.
