Amber Davies is one of the Love Island stars using the phrase a lot [Wenn]
While Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies’ relationship appears to be moving in the right direction, Camilla Thurlow and Jonny Mitchell’s short romance already appears to be over.
But between all the game playing, coupling and re-coupling up, viewers of Love Island have spotted something very strange.
While the girls and the boys chat to their friends about their types and potential partners, there is one phrase that fans have noticed being used a lot. And we mean a LOT.
The contestants have been referring to their potential partners as “eggs” as they tell each other: “I’ve got a few eggs in my basket,” or: “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.”

People have taken to Twitter to share their confusion over the use of the phrase.
One commented: “I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve heard the phrase ‘eggs in one basket’ on this Love Island.”
Another shared: “What is the obsession with everyone on Love Island referring to everything using the ‘eggs in basket’ saying? #LoveIsland.”
One viewer even suggested a drinking game around the Islander’s habits, writing: “Drink every time someone says how many eggs they have in one basket #LoveIsland.”

In a latest episode of the hit reality TV show, Amber told her partner Kem that “all her eggs were in one basket”.
What that means, we have no idea, but it must mean they’re getting serious.
And one eagle-eye viewer spotted the comment, tweeting: “Amber’s put THREE of her precious eggs in Kem’s basket! Things must be getting serious.”
