NOEL Gallagher has revealed he had an awkward spat with Noel Edmonds while having dinner with his wife.
The Oasis star, 50, said things turned frosty when a joke the Deal Or No Deal host, 69, made didn't go down too well.
While having dinner with his wife Sara Macdonald, 43, the singer told the Daily Star how the TV presenter attempted to make friends with him at dinner.
The popular game show host told him people would joke to him about them having the same name.
He said: "I went for lunch last week and in the seat next to me was Noel Edmonds.
"I’ve never met him and my missus was going, ‘No way, that’s Noel Edmonds’.
“And he said to me, ‘It’s great to finally meet you after all these years because of all the jokes and that’.”
Noel claimed that the exchange quickly turned unpleasant.
He said: “I went, ‘What jokes? What are you talking about?’
“And he goes, ‘Because we’re both called Noel’.
“And I went, ‘What jokes are you talking about? Are people taking the mickey out of me to you?’
“And he went, ‘Well, you know’.
“And then there was an awkward silence and I was like, ‘Whatever, enjoy your sea bass’.”
Noel said he wasn't sure what his fellow Noel meant: “What jokes?! It wasn’t me dressed as Mr Blobby all those years. “I don’t know what he was on about.”
The Oasis band member famously doesn't get on with brother Liam Gallagher, 45.
He is father to Anais Gallagher, 17 – an aspiring model – by his ex wife Meg Matthews, 51.
Noel met his second wife Sara while he was still married to Meg, and the couple have two children together, Sonny and Donovan.
