England’s 2018 World Cup squad was announced on Wednesday afternoon and, on the whole, it left most fans happy.
Gareth Southgate’s list of 23 names included the three goalkeepers, a surprising nine defenders, five midfielders and six attackers.
Jack Wilshere and Joe Hart both missed out, failing to even feature on the standby list.
Bar some fans being left disgruntled by Danny Welbeck’s inclusion, most supporters seemed pleased with the squad.
However, there was one small change they would have made – the inclusion of Adam Lallana who could only make the standby list.
Despite the Liverpool midfielder struggling with injuries this season, Three Lions fans believe he should have made the cut.
"I’d have taken Lallana instead of Welbeck, but otherwise no real issues with England WorldCup squad," one fan tweeted.
Another supporter posted: "No gripes with that England squad, only praise for how Southgate is going about it. Hope circumstances enable Lallana to find a way into the squad."
