The royals gathered together for a very special day on 9 July – the christening of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child Prince Louis .
Ever since their youngest son was born on April 23, we’ve been excited to see another glimpse of the little prince.
The service took place at at The Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace, where a beaming Kate arrived with a sleeping Louis in her arms, followed by husband William and eldest children George and Charlotte.
Kate’s outfit choices are always the talk of any occasion she attends and she wasn’t the only one – newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry joined the celebration, as did Kate’s pregnant sister Pippa.
Here’s all the details on what everyone wore for Prince Louis’ christening.
Prince Louis’ christening
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
Proud parents Kate and William looked gorgeous as the Cambridges were seen together as a family of five for the first time.
Mum Kate wore a bespoke white Alexander McQueen dress with a v-neckline, fit-and-flare hem and slightly padded shoulders. She has followed the tradition of wearing her favourite fashion designer for every single one of her children’s christenings.
She paired her outfit with a beaded Jane Taylor headband , nude court shoes and pearl earrings.
Dad William looked smart in a navy suit, white shirt and a light blue patterned tie.
A sleeping Prince Louis followed in the footsteps of royals before him and wore the traditional handmade replica of the Royal Christening gown.
The 1841 original was created by Jane Sutherland and was made of Spitalfields silk and Honiton lace and was worn by 62 royal babies before it became too fragile to use.
The new one was made by the Queen’s dresser Angela Kelly and was debuted at Prince Edward’s son James, Viscount Severn in 2008.
Princess Charlotte and Prince George
Prince Louis’ older brother and sister joined in the celebrations, giving cute royal waves to the cameras as they arrived and departed the service.
Prince George, 4, rewore his outfit from the Trooping the Colour parade last month – Amaia Kids ‘Daniel’ shirt (£42) and ‘Gull’ shorts with navy Papouelli shoes .
Princess Charlotte, 3, appeared to be wearing a new blue smocked dress with her Dona Carmen Blue ‘Mercedita Suela’ shoes and a light blue bow headband from Pepa & Co .
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
The newlyweds looked chic as they attended their nephew’s christening. Prince Harry wore a navy suit, white shirt and light blue tie, while wife Meghan was in a bespoke olive green Ralph Lauren dress, which featured her favourite bateau neckline and belted waist.
She went for matching accessories – a hat by milliner Stephen Jones, Manolo Blahnik’s BB pumps, a suede clutch bag and a pair of gloves.
Meghan played tribute to her American roots and her new British home by donning designers from both countries.
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall
William’s father Prince Charles matched his sons in navy with a pastel coloured shirt and patterned tie. His wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall wore a cream three-quarter sleeve dress by couture designer Fiona Clare , which featured embroidery on the neckline and cuffs.
She teamed it with an upturned brim Locke & Co hat, two-tone beige heels and a snakeskin clutch bag. Camilla also accessorised with her four strand pearl choker with diamond clasp necklace.
Kate’s sister and mum-to-be Pippa showed off her growing baby bump in a pale blue custom-made Alessandra Rich shirt dress with cuffed sleeves and oversized buttons. She teamed it with a matching hat and satin ankle strap heels.
Suits star Abigail Spencer wore a very similar polka dot design by the Mayfair-based brand, to the royal wedding .
Pippa’s husband James Matthews joined her at the ceremony in a navy suit, white shirt and blue patterned tie.
