But while many are enthralled with his two-step and tango, he also became somewhat of a conversation topic after sparking up a romance with his former partner Georgia May Foote – with many wrongly ruling it as the “Strictly Curse”.
The curse in question sees celebrities or their dancing partner break-up with their current loves during or following the show – or they get together, and then separate.
But speaking exclusively to OK! Online, Giovanni – who is preparing for the Strictly season by getting a new smile with Invisalign – has finally broken his silence on the so-called “curse”.

“I was in a relationship with my dance partner, but not on the show,” he confirmed. “We just end up together after the show.
“But as far as the curse goes, it could be normal, it could be not. You spend so much time with your celebrity partner, and if you’re young and beautiful, it really can happen. It’s normal that you get a thing with them.
“You spend seven or eight hours of the whole day for six months with the same person, so of course it could – but if I dance with an 86 or an 87 year old, there might not be a Strictly Curse,” he laughed. “I don’t know actually, maybe!”

Giovanni hasn’t yet been confirmed to return for this season – but he did reveal he would do the show “for the next 15-20 years” if he could.
“I’ve been really lucky with my partners for two years. I don’t feel like I’ll be that lucky if I go back on Strictly this time,” he laughed. “But I would love to dance with someone like Ed Balls!”
The gorgeous star is currently working on getting a new smile with Invisalign, to straighten his teeth with clear, nearly invisible braces with Dr Rhona Eskander in her Kensington Dental Clinic.

And Giovanni did reveal that his former on-screen dance partner, ex-Coronation Street star Georgia was to thank for introducing him to the prospect of straightening his teeth.
The professional dancer says the actress gave him a pep talk that inspired him to overhaul his image and that included Invisalign and he hopes to unveil the new look when the next series of Strictly airs in the autumn. Now, a new weekly aligner can even allow straight teeth to be achieved in just 3 months.
As Giovanni explained: “I always say the smile is one of the most important parts of a person and I wanted my teeth a little better. A smile, especially when you work in television, is one of the most important things.”
