Fernando Torres pledged every game in his Atletico Madrid farewell will be “a party” – including the Europa League semi-final with Arsenal.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker scored his 100th La Liga goal in the 3-0 win over Levante.
The World Cup winner, now 34, will leave Atletico Madrid at the end of the season after returning in August 2015.
And Torres said: “For me, every game until the end of the season is going to be a party. I’ll fight to be in the starting line-up and keep scoring goals until the last game.
“We’re happy. The best way to prepare for what’s coming up is to win, like we’ve done in the last few years.”
Coach Diego Simeone said: “It makes me happy for Fernando to be living the incredible feelings he has for this club and regardless of whether or not he scores goals, he is iconic at Atletico.
“I told him when he signed that I wanted him to be a footballer and not an idol, and he has been.”
Arsenal host Atletico in the first leg on Thursday April 26 before the return fixture a week later at the Wanda Metropolitano.
