John Lewis set to host Quality Street pick and mix stations for Christmas

High street department store John Lewis will be letting Quality Street fans create their own pick and mix festive tins in stores this year for Christmas.

Shoppers will be able to visit one of 11 participating John Lewis stores throughout the country to create their very own mix of all their favourite sweets.

The genius festive pop-up, part of John Lewis’ Christmas shopping experience , means customers can fill up on at least three different flavours they like from the 12-strong selection of Nestle classics – (we’re partial to the purple wrapper one ).

So chocolate fans can finally ditch the ones that are normally leftover at the bottom of the tin (strawberry cream, we’re looking at you).

The pick and mix tins, which cost £12, will be available in John Lewis in Oxford Circus, London, from 21 September. Whilst there customers can also create an extra special festive gift by personalising their tin with a name or message printed on the lid.

From October the pick and mix tins will also go on sale at Bluewater in Kent, Cambridge, Cheadle, Cribbs Causeway, Glasgow, High Wycombe, Kingston-Upon-Thames, Liverpool, Trafford and White City, London stores.

Debbie Bowen, Senior Brand Manager for Quality Street said: “Everybody’s got a favourite Quality Street sweet and an opinion on which is the best, so providing a pick and mix option, for the very first time, could spell the end of that particular Christmas debate.

“This is a very exciting move for us and for Quality Street . We’ve been part of Christmas for more than 80 years and over that time we have had so many requests from people for a chance to create their own bespoke tin! It’s finally here and we’re delighted.”

Regular Quality Street tins (1.2kg) are also available to buy in stores and online at johnlewis.com for £10 now.
