Ariana Grande has re-released her 2015 single ‘One Last Time’ on iTunes as a charity single, with all proceeds from new sales of the track being donated to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
Music fans can support the Manchester bombing victims by purchasing the track on iTunes, where it is revealed that, in the UK, at least 76p from each sale of the track will be donated to the emergency fund in association with the British Red Cross.
‘One Last Time’ recently re-entered the charts after Grande’s fans adopted the track as a symbol of solidarity, due to it being the final song she performed at her Manchester show on the date of the attack last month.
The track’s re-release accompanies the charity gig Grande is headlining in Manchester tonight, called One Love Manchester.
The benefit concert was organised as a response to the terrorist attack which occurred after Grande’s show in the city on May 22, in which 22 people were killed.
All proceeds from the show, which is happening at Manchester’s Old Trafford Cricket Ground, will go to the victims of the attack and their families. Tickets for the show sold out within 20 minutes, although some free tickets were reserved for fans who attended the Manchester Arena concert on May 22.
Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus are among the stars performing at the concert.
Security at the event tonight has been tightened following another terror attack in London last night (June 3), but Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that the concert will go ahead.
Ariana Grande’s manager, Scooter Braun, also released a statement about the second attack this morning, saying that the event will go on with “greater purpose” in light of the attack that killed seven people last night.
“After the events last night in London, and those in Manchester just two weeks ago, we feel a sense of responsibility to honor those lost, injured, and affected,” he said.
“We plan to honor them with courage, bravery, and defiance in the face of fear. Today’s One Love Manchester benefit concert will not only continue, but will do so with greater purpose.”
