S Club 7 (or three members of them at least) are back with a brand new charity single, so reach for the stars, ’90s children –and climb every mountain higher!
After spending the last few weeks teasing a potential new release, Jo O’Meara, Tina Barrett and Bradley MacIntosh have made good on their word and dropped a new song under the banner SC3.
Listen to a sample here:
Of course, it would be even better if the other four got involved, but at least ‘Family’ is for a good cause as some of the proceeds from the single will be donated to the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.
The song, which will be officially released on December 11, was actually originally pitched to S Club 7 for their reunion tour in 2015, and is penned by Simon Ellis – who wrote songs such as ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’ and ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ for the band.
It marks the start of what’s shaping up to be a big year to come for SC3, who have lined up huge headline shows in Singapore, Canada, Ukraine and Dubai, as well as festival appearances and shows in the UK throughout 2018 too.
Meanwhile, some of the other members of S Club party have been pretty busy too, with member Hannah Spearitt recently joining the cast of EastEnders.
“I’m over the moon to be joining the show, it’s such a huge part of British telly,” she said. “I’m really looking forward to getting started and I can’t wait to see the Square in the flesh. Walford here I come!”
She is not the only one either, as former member Rachel Stevens has also been rumoured to be heading to Albert Square.
There’s still a few days to go until we get to hear the new track in its entirety, we’ll just be over here with this one on repeat instead:
