England man not likely to return until October, says Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed the England star would likely be out for “a couple of months, not weeks”.
Adam Lallana will be out for ‘months not weeks’ with a thigh injury
Jurgen Klopp said Lallana will probably not be back until October
Klopp told the told Liverpool website: “This is certainly not news we would have wanted.
“Unfortunately, the damage is such that it will likely mean Adam is out for a couple of months not weeks, so I think we can pretty much rule him out of August and September.
“Beyond that we will monitor and wait and see.
“He is a boy with a world-class attitude to everything professionally and he has always come back in good time from injury setbacks since I have been here, so we will see.”
Lallana was one of Liverpool’s top performers last season, scoring eight goals in 31 Premier League matches as the Reds qualified for the Champions League.
If the injury is bad as currently feared, Lallana will miss the two-leg Champions League play-off with Hoffenheim.

Hoffenehim coach Julian Nagelsmann heaped pressure on the Reds – stating he’s already started preparing for the clash.
He said: “They’re definitely not jumping for joy in Liverpool due to the draw.
“It’s great for the awareness of our club that this draw will bring us fully into the spotlight.
“This is somehow Murphy’s Law. Luckily, I’ve been looking at it this week at the Audi Cup.
“These were two very good games. It is, of course, a very difficult team, but there was no real easy draw anyway.
“We can play against a great opponent in a legendary stadium. This is something special.”
Lallana, 29, would also miss the Premier League opener against Watford, as well as matches against Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Manchester City, Burnley and Leicester City.
