Crystal Palace cheerleader gets engaged at half-time of 3-2 win over Brighton

Crystals star Gemma Keen was surprised by long-term partner and Palace fan Ian Talbot in front of 24,656 fans… and said yes.

Keen was in the middle of being asked what her favourite moment of the season was before Talbot got down on one knee.

The cheerleader was funnily enough already claiming that Saturday's game was her top moment of 2017-18 – with the score already at 3-2 Palace at the break.

She was then told to turn around, only to find partner Talbot – suited and booted – down on one knee, before asking: "Will you marry me?"

A shocked Keen said yes before the pair hugged… with the rest of the Crystals quickly joining-in on the celebration.

The incident just added an extra layer of emotion to the game – with plenty already at stake.

Both teams – and bitter rivals – were not only in a relegation scrap, but also shared five goals in the opening 34 minutes.

Wilfried Zaha scored twice, along with James Tomkins for Palace, with Glenn Murray and Jose Izquierdo netting for the Seagulls in a breathless 45 minutes.

Cheerleader Keen barely had a chance to catch her breath from the football, before putting on a show with her Crystals and being proposed to in a remarkable afternoon.
