CRYSTAL PALACE left it late but managed to get the £9m signing of Alexander Sorloth over the line.
The Eagles had been pursuing the FC Midtjylland striker over the last few days, and finally got their man on a hectic transfer deadline day.
The Danish striker will wear the number nine shirt at Selhurst Park, and provide some much-needed competition up top for the likes of Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha.
Sorloth is a powerfully built 22-year-old international who has scored an impressive 15 goals in 26 games in the Danish Superliga this season.
He has also bagged 12 caps for Denmark, scoring once.
Speaking to Palace TV, Sorloth said: "It's a big club with ambition, a good club who takes good care of its players.
"It feels amazing, it's a dream come true to play in the Premier League. I've dreamt about this since I was six years old.”
"My short term aim is to try get my debut as quickly as possible, show my skills on the training ground – and hopefully the manager likes what he sees."
Palace boss Roy Hodgson has been desperate for added firepower in attack.
Christian Benteke has been doing the bulk of the work this season.
And Sorloth had come onto his radar late in the window after previously looking at Bournemouth’s Benik Afobe.
Sorloth played in Holland with Groningen for two season before heading to Denmark in the summer.
