A staggering 90% reckon Anthony Joshua would defeat Deontay Wilder – but only 42% would back him to beat a bear.
The 28-year-old will put his IBF, WBA and IBO titles on the line in a world heavyweight unification fight with WBO champion Joseph Parker on March 31.
Should the London 2012 Olympic gold medalist conquer the Kiwi in Cardiff, there is a huge clamour for him to take on WBC king Wilder next.
American Wilder has upped the ante following his recent win over Luis Ortiz.
In a video uploaded on social media, Wilder is seen smashing a pinata with Joshua’s face printed on it with a devastating right hook.
“I knocked his off,” says Wilder.
But fans of the hard old game think that would not be the reality should the blockbuster bout take place.
Almost 12,000 people were polled by sports retail giants JD Sports in a survey titled: ‘Who’d win in a fight with Anthony Joshua?’
And an overwhelming 90% of those polled believe the Brit would celebrate a win over Wilder.
Only 76%, however, think Joshua would defeat former undisputed champion Tyson Fury – while 88% backed him to defeat WWE legend The Undertaker (with 76% suggesting Joshua would KO The Rock).
But 58% voted in favour of a BEAR beating up Joshua in a mythical fight while 74% believe late great Muhammad Ali would have been victorious against the Brit.
