Christiansen confirmed after the match he expects wood to complete his move to Turf Moor.
Wood rejected a new deal at Elland Road and the Leeds boss knew the player would not feature against Sunderland on Friday.
Christiansen also confirmed Leeds United had drawn up a list of targets to replace Wood.
Christiansen said: “Personally I hope Chris will do fine. I don’t have anything against him. He’s a good guy and he’s done what I expected of him.”
He added: “I only count on players who want to fight for the shirt, the badge and their team-mates.”
Wood travelled for the Whites’ Championship clash but was not included on the team sheet before kick-off as he also released a statement.
