Paul Pogba slammed by Manchester United fans after mess-up in midfield leads to Wolves equaliser

Pogba, 25, attempted an ambitious turn in midfield rather than playing it simple.

It meant Wolves could attack the United defence and made their way towards David De Gea's goal.

The ball was played back to Joao Moutinho, with Pogba appearing to be walking and giving the Portugal midfielder time and space.

The Wolves star made no mistake, curling excellently into the top corner giving De Gea no chance, which proved crucial as the visitors held on for 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

And fans were quick to vent their frustrations at the talented, albeit sometimes over ambitious, star.

One fans said: "Pogba lost the ball when passing was the better option. So annoying."

Another asked: "Why can't you just be simple for once in your life? @PaulPogba"

Pogba had earlier set Fred up for the game's opening goal.

The spinning ball dropped to the World Cup winner on the edge of the area.

He produced a sublime, deft touch to feed the Brazilian midfielder, who found the bottom corner.

One Manchester United supporters account tweeted: "Pogba makes one goal for us, and now he loses the ball so easily in the middle. The finish was brilliant though. No stopping that. 1-1."
