Toby Roland-Jones was embraced by his England team-mates on his debut
The 29-year-old, known as Tobias ‘The Destroyer’ Roland-Jones, made his test debut against South Africa on July 27.
He began his career with Middlesex Colts and started off as a right-handed batsman before emerging as an up and coming medium-fast bowler.
His potential and strong performance earned him a contract with Middlesex in 2010.
After bursting onto the county scene, he was rewarded with a three-year deal in August 2010.
He took 38 wickets in his first eight first-class matches at an average of 19.60.
The highlight of his county career saw him take a hat-trick against Yorkshire helping them to secure the County Championship for Middlesex for the first time in 23 years.
In July 2016 Roland-Jones was called up to England’s test squad against Pakistan, but he was dropped after Ben Stokes and James Anderson returned to the line up.
He made his One Day International debut for England against South Africa on May 29, 2017.
