Anna Kendrick forced to walk to Jimmy Fallon interview after her hotel catches on fire

Anna Kendrick had an eventful time as she tried to make her way to be interviewed by late-night talk-show host Jimmy Fallon.

The star, who is currently promoting Pitch Perfect 3 ahead of its cinema release later this month, was staying in a hotel in New York City yesterday (Monday, December 18) when it caught fire.

With the roads blocked off as firefighters rushed to the scene, Kendrick had to walk for a while before she could hail a cab.

She shared the experience with her fans on Instagram Stories, thanking the firefighters for the work that they do.

Reviews for Pitch Perfect 3 are out, and if you’re a fan of the series, it looks like you may be in for another great time.

The sequel welcomes back all the original Bellas – including Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow and Anna Camp – as the group reunite for one last singing competition at an overseas USO tour.

Kendrick recently told Harper’s Bazaar that the movie had to resist pressure from “people at the top” to wear “tighter and sexier” outfits.

“It’s funny – whenever we do the wardrobe fittings, I feel like we get notes from the top saying they should be tighter and sexier and show more skin,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘That’s not why people are coming to see the movie. They definitely aren’t showing up because of our sex appeal’.

“It’s nice that audiences are interested in seeing a movie of misfits and girls of different shapes and sizes.”

Pitch Perfect 3 is in cinemas December 20 in the UK and December 22 in the US.
