Recent episodes of Coronation Street saw Mary Taylor accused of child abuse as her grandson George constantly fell while in her care.
As a result, she was ostracised by son Jude and daughter-in-law Angie as they feared for their son’s health.
However, Wednesday’s episode saw the tot fall ill again while in the care of Bethany Platt, with Mary nowhere near him at the time.
But as George’s family were left frantic with worry, Coronation Street fans think they’ve figured out what’s wrong with George.

Several viewers took to Twitter to comment that they think Georgie is allergic to bananas, with Bethany having fed him the fruit shortly before he got sick.
“I think George is allergic to bananas!!! #corrie #coronationstreet,” commented one viewer.
While another remarked: “The baby is obviously allergic to bananas… wouldn’t the hospital have done allergy tests first??? #corrie @itvcorrie.”
A third ranted: “it’s the fruit! Been saying it all along #Corrie #coronationstreet.”

During a recent interview with Lorraine Kelly, Patti clare who plays Mary hinted that viewers could see a different side to her character as the weeks and months go on.
“I think it’s time to see another side of Mary, I think she’s earned it.
