Dancing On Ice bosses were on thin ice with the judges – and had to fork out for top of the range heaters.
The heaters have been installed behind the desks of the show’s judging panel after worries they would become ill.
The producers were forced to take action after the judges complained about the new studio’s icy conditions.
Skater Matt Evers, who was voted out in week one, said: “Each judge has had to have a Dyson heater behind them now.
“Well we are in a marquee built on a big slab of ice! Poor Holly and Phil have to do little dances during breaks to keep warm.”
It’s not the first time ITV have had to make changes for judges on one of their big shows.
In 2012 Simon Cowell insisted on installing hidden lights on his Britain’s Got Talent desk in order to glow more.
Judge Christopher Dean has also admitted he has another problem – his knees.
Explaining why he and Jayne Torvill no longer skate on TV, he said: “It’s my knees, achy breaky, they’ve had 50 years of skating around constantly.”
This week the contestants – who face a double eviction – all have to take part in a Judges’ Challenge.
Couples must mirror each other as they travel the length of the rink but they can’t touch one another.
