If you have an Amazon Prime subscription and you’re gearing up for your holiday sometime soon, you’re probably also considering which shows to watch on the way there.
And while we expect you have some things in mind already, Amazon has released a list of its most downloaded TV shows of 2017 so far, which you can peruse to find out if there’s anything that’s escaped your notice.
The list – provided in honour of Download Day (July 28), when UK customers are expected to download the most content from Prime Video to enjoy offline – features some of Amazon’s biggest shows to date, including its hit original series The Man in The High Castle, The Grand Tour and, newest to the Amazon scene, American Gods.
Sneaky Pete is also named as one of the most downloaded shows, with Black Sails and Vikings providing Prime subscribers with their sword-slinging, historical drama fix, and Lucifer and The Walking Dead still proving as popular as ever too.
Rounding out the list of the 10 most downloaded shows are US comedy classic Parks and Recreation, as well as children’s TV hit Peppa Pig. Well, you have to keep the kids entertained in the back of the car somehow.
Amazon’s Download Day falls a day before the start of what’s expected to be the busiest travel week of the year, now that school’s out and families are flying abroad for their summer holidays.
And if you’re wondering when you’re expected to watch all of this brilliant content you’ve downloaded, it turns out Amazon has crunched the numbers for that too, and predicted that we’ll all be hiding from the sun and enjoying TV again on August 2.
Sounds like a family holiday abroad to us!
To celebrate Download Day, Amazon is offering customers £5 off the all-new Fire 7 tablet for a limited time only.
