Elementary and The Amazing Race will most definitely be back for another season.
CBS handed the shows renewals for the 2017-18 season, ensuring that they will have a sixth and 30th (!) season respectively.
Elementary stars Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Joan Watson.
The drama recently had a (spoilers ahead!) shocking death, after SBK gang member-turned-informant Shinwell Johnson was killed.
Played by Nelsan Ellis, Shinwell was trying to take down SBK from within – but he was later found dead in his apartment.
Teasing what’s to come in the remaining two episodes of the season, executive producer Rob Doherty said that the brains behind the SBK will be revealed.
“Sherlock and Joan will realise they’ve underestimated a certain shadowy member of the group,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “They’re going up against a very different kind of gang leader, to say the least.
“With Shinwell’s passing, it was absolutely time to look at the individuals that he was going up against. He said repeatedly that he’s one of the shot callers.”
The Amazing Race, presented by Phil Keoghan, is a reality competition show which pits teams of pairs against each other as they race around the world.
Meanwhile, 2 Broke Girls has been cancelled after six seasons.
In March, CBS handed early renewals to the likes of The Big Bang Theory, NCIS (alongside spin-offs Los Angeles and New Orleans), Matt LeBlanc’s Man with a Plan, Survivor, and Hawaii Five-0.
