Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner possibly reveals fate of her character in final season with spoiler tattoo

Warning: This article may contain MAJOR spoilers for Game of Thrones season eight.

Erm, Sophie Turner has potentially had a giant Game of Thrones spoiler tattooed on her.

Tattoo artist Lauren Winzer has shared a snap of Sophie’s new ink – a direwolf and the words: “The pack survives.”

First tattoo back home! Thank you so much for getting this from me @sophiet ! 🐺 bad ass !

Yes, this obviously suggests that the Stark family are going to survive the forthcoming eighth season of Thrones, and frankly, we’re not impressed.

Not because we don’t love the Starks, but because if the tattoo is indeed a giant spoiler, Sophie should have got it tattooed on her arse and kept it to herself.

Then again, the quote has come up a couple of times before. In George RR Martin’s books, Ned Stark tells it to Arya when she’s angry with Sansa, while in the TV series, Arya and Sansa recall it after killing Littlefinger. So maybe it’s just a nice callback before it all goes wrong in season 8?

Meanwhile, back at The Eyrie, Gilly actress Hannah Murray has warned that the show won’t be getting a “fairytale happy ending”.

Still, following news that one untitled Game of Thrones prequel has being ordered to pilot by HBO, Martin said that more might be on the way.

The author of the A Song of Ice and Fire books wrote that three further projects are in development and also suggested that pilots for at least one of them could happen in the foreseeable future.

Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere in 2019. The show airs on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK. Season 7 is now available to buy on DVD, Blu-ray or digital download.
