Hollyoaks star Aisling Jarrett-Gavin thanks fans after Darcy Wilde exit

Hollyoaks star Aisling Jarrett-Gavin has thanked the show’s fans in a special goodbye video, following her exit.

Darcy’s final scenes aired in yesterday’s first look episode (April 25), as she fled the village after accidentally putting Esther into a coma.

Esther had downed the spiked drink Darcy had intended for Jack Osborne – after she had a change of heart about harming her new husband.

That might be the last we’ll see of Darcy, but Aisling – who has played the schemer since last year – has been keeping her alter-ego alive by looking back at her most devious moments.

Fans will have to watch the video below in order to find out what Aisling believed was Darcy’s most shocking act of all, but she also took the time to thank everyone who had supported her.

“Thank you for following me all fans of Hollyoaks and Darcy on this incredible journey,” she said. “Some people hated her, which is good as it means I’ve done my job right. But some people loved her which is also really cool.

“Thank you for watching, supporting, hating, loving and enjoying the character. “

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes at 7pm on E4.
