I’m A Celebrity: Jennie McAlpine broke down in tears on first night in the jungle [ITV]
The Coronation Street actress joined her fellow stars including Jamie Lomas, Jack Maynard and Georgia Toffolo in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
However, after just one night in the jungle, Jennie McAlpine was left in floods of tears as she opened up to fellow campmate Shappi Khorsandi.
The duo had began bonding over their children who they had left behind in England, but things became too much for the Fiz Brown star.
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, she said: “I really like Shappi a lot, me and her have both got little ones, her little girl is 4 and my little boy is 3.”

At that point, she began to choke back the tears, adding: “We’re trying not to talk about it too much, missing home and the little ones.”
However, despite opening up to the camera. emotional got the better of Jennie and she went into the Jungle funny to cry.
After breaking down, Jennie retreated back to the Bush Telegraph to explain the reasons for her tears.
She explained: “I got a bit teary in the loo, I was just thinking about missing home and my little boy. It’s hard to know what to talk about because if you talk about it, like now…” before breaking out in fresh tears.

The star added: “Albert didn’t quite get the concept of where I was going so I said I was off to work and there might be crocodiles which he thought was really strange.
“I absolutely know Daddy and Albert will be having the best time together and they’ll be having loads of fun, so yeah, I have to brave for them.

The star’s break down comes after she bid an emotional farewell to her son ahead of her Australian stint.

“It was emotional saying goodbye to him,” the 33 year old told the Daily Star.
“So I’ve already cried before I’ve got to the jungle. I found it much more difficult than he did. I just left him. He was still awake and he was just getting ready for bed, but I left him sat down in the living room where he was playing with his jigsaws, which he loves doing.”
