The kids from the movie IT have cast their adult selves in the event of a sequel for the film – which at this stage seems more than likely.
The seriously scary horror, adapted from Stephen King’s chilling novel, has received a lot of acclaim from those who have already seen it and as fans of the book will know, the adult version of The Loser’s Club makes up the second part of the story of King’s original book.
As such, the movie’s director Andres Muschietti has already said that the second part of IT will “ideally” start filming as early as March next year, seemingly confirming a sequel is definitely going ahead.
But who would the current actors pick to take on the roles of their Loser’s Club successors?
Well, they’ve had their say and as a result, we’re prematurely excited for this casting news.
For Finn Wolfhard (of Stranger Things fame) who plays Richie Tozier, Trainwreck‘s Bill Hader is the man he wants to carry on Richie’s journey, and for Sophia Lillis, who plays Beverly Marsh, it’s Black Mirror and Jurassic Park actress Jessica Chastain.
For Chosen Jacobs, who plays Mike Hanlon, it’s Black Panther‘s Chadwick Boseman, and for Jack Dylan Grazer, who plays Eddie Kaspbrak, it’s Jake Gyllenhaal.
For Wyatt Oleff, who plays Stan Uris, it’s the niche but brilliant choice of Inception star Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
And for Jeremy Ray Taylor, who plays Ben Hanscom, he’s dreaming big and gunning for Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt.
So. Fingers crossed, eh?
IT is released in cinemas September 8.
