As her hunt for justice proved unsuccessful, the last episode saw her try to investigate the death of his wife in a desperate attempt to bring the surgeon to justice.
Laura travelled up to Edinburgh to meet the mother of Andrew’s late wife Mary – who died as a result of suicide – in a desperate attempt to try uncover what really may or may not have happened to Mary during life with Andrew.
But Mary’s mother was less than forthcoming when faced with accusations against her son-in-law and it wasn’t soon before she asked the high school teacher to leave her home.
