Love Island: Montana Brown faced with awkward question about Alex Beattie: Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford talked to Montana Brown and Alex Beattie about their time on the show [ITV]
The couple just missed out on a place in the grand final, taking place on July 24, when they were voted out.
Appearing on the daytime show the day after, the pair were grilled about their time in the villa and what they plan to do in the future.
Agreeing with Chloe Crowhurst’s description of Alex being nice, adorable and lovely, Montana gushed: “He absolutely is. I feel like his personality didn’t come through but I feel like there are a lot of big characters on the Island.
“It’s not to say that Alex isn’t quietly confident. It’s just a shame that it didn’t come across.”

As the couple agreed that they were happy with where they came in the competition, Eamonn wanted to know if Montana’s feelings for Alex had changed since leaving.
Viewers will remember how Montana panicked when Alex first told her that he loved her because she couldn’t say it back.
Wanting to know if she was preparing to say the L-word, Montana candidly admitted: “I don’t love Alex yet, no.
Going on to explain her reasons, the TV star added: “I want to be true to myself. I don’t want to say it if I don’t mean which in my eyes means that when I do say it, it will mean a hell of a lot more.”

Insisting that he didn’t have an issue with Montana refusing to say the term, Alex confirmed that as long as they were happy, he didn’t mind waiting.
“Her feelings towards me are genuine and love is a massive thing so if it takes her a bit more time, that’s totally fine with me.
“I’m easy going chilled guy. I’m totally comfortable with her emotions towards me and she can take her time.”
While her statement may have shocked Eamonn, she won support from Ruth and Chloe, who was in the studio, for staying honest and showing that she’s not playing a game.
With the final just hours away, the couple were then asked who would win the coveted title.
While Montana remained loyal towards Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies, Alex confessed that he thinks Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood would come up to the top and take the title.
