Love Island: Alex Beattie told Montana Brown he loved her while they cuddled in bed [ITV2]
As the contestants head into their final days in the Love Island villa, emotions are really starting to show.
During a cuddle in bed with his girlfriend Montana Brown, Alex Beattie caught her off-guard by dropping “the l bomb” as he tightened his arm around her.
Shocked, Montana stared at him and said “no you don’t” before Alex continued to tell her that he does and he can “feel it”.
She later confided in Amber Davies that she’s concerned Alex “was doing it for the game” and that she was hurt in a past relationship when she fell in love.

And then she opened up in the Beach Hut that she was questioning whether her new boyfriend was “playing a game or genuine”.
As the two had an emotional chat, Montana revealed: “It’s hard for me to trust men in general. The situation with my dad, that broke me in two.
“I feel like now when I get into something with men, I can’t trust them. I have got barriers and they will disappear.”
The 21 year old told her beau that she feels she is “getting there” with her feelings and admitted how happy she was with his declaration.

Fans of the ITV2 show seemed to agree with Montana that it may be too early for love, and were quick to call Alex a fake after recent events saw the couple land in the least voted for couples.
Posting on their Twitter account, one wrote: “Love island is finishing soon. People are starting to be fake. Including Alex #loveisland.”
Another viewer commented: “How convenient of Alex to tell Mon “he loves her” right as the 50K cash prize is days away! #loveisland #fakeas #phoneyashell.”

“Alex you fraud you don’t love her #loveisland,” slammed somebody else watching the programme.
However, not everybody was buying into the theory that Alex was “fake” and many were moved by the “adorable” confession.
“The way Alex is with Montana is the cutest thing ever. #LoveIsland,” gushed a different user.
Love Island continues Friday at 9pm on ITV2.
